People1st, in conjunction with Advice NI, are providing a course on Money Management. This is a fully interactive course to help participants understand the possible financial impact of Welfare Reform and how to support those affected within their own community.

Who Should Attend? Ideal for staff, members, and volunteers of organisations, networks and community groups working with those impacted by welfare reform.

  • Budgeting
  • Borrowing
  • Spending
  • Managing money within households
  • Financial inclusion
  • Digital inclusion
  • Using online tools to manage money
  • Signposting to support services
  • Useful tools and information to support money management

Fees/Eligibility: The course is FREE to eligible groups including community and voluntary groups or networks, policy workers, political parties, council representatives, Independent Advocates, and other groups/organisations working with people affected by Welfare Reform (e.g. Social Workers, Housing Associations).

CPD Hours: There are 6 CPD hours available for the session.

Educational/Professional Framework:
This course can be used as evidence towards a range of units in our Advice and Guidance Certificate or Diploma qualifications including ‘Support Clients to Make Use of Advice and Guidance Service’.

This course is part of the Department for Communities initiatives to assist those impacted by Welfare Reforms.
