Supporting children with anxiety


family wellness project

The Family Wellness Project has places available on wellbeing programmes (Supporting Children with Anxiety) coming up over the next few months.

This programme has been developed with Aware NI to raise awareness of the importance of looking after our mental health and highlighting the risk factors for, and symptoms of, anxiety. It aims to help to reduce stigma, provide information about treatments available and promote self-help strategies for regaining and / or maintaining good mental health. Incorporating basic Cognitive Behavioural Therapy concepts, the programme teaches participants how our thinking and behaviour can affect how we feel, physically and emotionally and providing participants with the tools to help themselves and children they care for and finally signpost participants to sources of support.
